The Officers of the 5th Battalion 1915 and 1916

"Officers of the 5th Gordon Highlanders photographed at Armentiers in August 1916. 
In July the Battalion, forming part of General Harper's 51st Division,
had suffered heavily in an assault on the notorious High Wood in the Somme area. 
A still more severe test awaited them at Beaumont Hamel in November 1916."
