This card is from "G.S."  He wrote a number of cards to Ruth.  The card was probably written on Wednesday 15th August 1917 and posted on 18th August at Army Post Office S.85. S.85 was the stamp of a transit camp at St. Germain au Mont d'Or in the suburbs of Lyon.
