1st/5th Battalion  Gordon Highlanders

Casualties for the German Spring Offensive - March to April 1918

  Wounded:

There are no War Diary records for this period and consequently no accurate way of determining the number or names of all the wounded.  The following list is gleaned from the District Casualty Lists of the weekly Peterhead newspaper, The Buchan Observer. As a result only "local" men are shown. The names cover a five month period - April to August 1918. Not all would have been injured in the initial stages of the Spring Offensive, but, as dates are rarely given, it is difficult to know when exactly a man was wounded. No Battalions are mentioned, only that they were in the Gordon Highlanders. Names in blue are those who appeared on the 1914 Roll.
